Rachel Buchanan was born in Montreal where she currently resides with her partner and her daughter. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Concordia University, a Master’s degree in Curriculum Studies from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education and is currently working on her PhD at McGill University, where her thesis looks at the decolonization of education.
Rachel is the Training and Development Manager for the Early Years, a program by the Martin Family Initiative, a role in which she provides vision and support for the development of culturally and contextually adapted training and professional development opportunities pertaining to Indigenous early learning in Canada.
